Kirk-Farrington House

Thursday, March 23, 2023 (9:00 am - 12:00 pm) FREE (THIS IS A TEST EVENT - DO NOT REGISTER)

We have special permission to paint at the Kirk-Farrington House in San Jose. The house is a beautiful white Italianate-style Victorian built in 1878 by Theophilus Kirk. The garden has some lovely plantings including wisteria, roses and (hopefully) peonies in bloom. We have been asked specifically not to dispose of wastewater or paint supplies on the grounds, and we suggest that you bring a separate empty container to remove your used painting water.

Directions: Check a map for best directions from your area. From the North, Hwy 280 exit Meridian Ave south and turn left on Dry Creek Road. From the South exit Hwy 85 at Branham Lane, left on Meridian, right on Dry Creek, or exit Hwy 17 at Hamilton Ave East, right on Meridian, left on Dry Creek.

Parking: Please park on the street because the house and grounds including the gates for the on-site parking lot are locked at 1:00 PM.

Attendance: Attendance is free and is open to all SCVWS members.
