The Pioneer Log Cabin was built as a meeting house for the Association of Pioneer Women of California in 1911 and expanded in 1931.The building is constructed of unpeeled redwood logs from Humboldt County and has two rustic masonry chimneys. It received an extensive restoration which was completed in 1995, preserving most of the historic fabric and integrity.

Surrounding Strawberry Hill, Blue Heron Lake (formerly Stow Lake) is the park’s largest body of water. in Golden Gate Park, Visitors can enjoy boating, wildlife viewing, and the scenic Golden Gate Pavilion. The summit of Strawberry Hill offers a stunning 360-degree view of the city.
Direction: Street parking is available along the lakefront and opposite the Boathouse. The Pioneer Log Cabin is located between JFK promenade and Blue Heron Lake Dr. East. Meet by the Log Cabin
