San Pedro Square Market Story
Founded over 200 years ago. San Jose exhibits the rich culture of Spain and Mexico. The San Pedro Market is home to the Peralta Adobe one of Spanish California’s oldest structures and the last of an original settlement and the heart and soul of the market Built in 1797 by Manuel Gonzalez, an Apache, it is the last remaining structure from El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe and was the longtime home of Luis Maria Peralta. The Thomas and Carmel Castro Fallon House is located across the street. The Market has an open-air Plaza with umbrellas providing lots of shade. Please do NOT bring outside food into the plaza and patronize the market.

click here. The garage will remain accessible throughout the project, but parking capacity may be limited at times. The vehicle entry on Market Street will remain open and cars will be able to exit onto Market Street. Access to the elevators and stairwells is on the Market Street side of the garage
