Workshops & Demonstrations

SCVWS provide members & non-members with exciting workshops by world class art instructors. We also provide a community service by providing free demonstrations by these same artists that are open to the public. We offer multiple venues for our "in person" workshops, so check closely for the listed workshop location.

We also offer "online" workshops via Zoom, which may be recorded for the participants. Many of our online demonstrations have been recorded and are available to view. By providing this benefit to our members, we can offer these workshops at a good price and members can save the time and expense of having to travel to gain access to these fabulous instructors. All of the workshop descriptions have all the details needed for your information.

Mark Dobrin Demo

Mark Dobrin’s painting is a passion that has taken him on a journey of discovery, where contemplation and imagination have led the way. In the midst of our anxious world, his hope is to convey some small portion of the peace and serenity that he experiences while he ponders and paints the beauty that is all around us.

He will be demonstrating his fast and loose watercolor landscape approach, utilizing traditional and non-traditional techniques with a few uncommon tools. He seeks to let the medium do its thing while hopefully applying the right amount of direction and imagination. It is a fun way to loosen up your painting without stressing over details.
